I am a founder of the art collective Free Style Arts Association here in NYC. We do participation-based public art interventions, like inviting people to build a giant fort or string weaving with us at an intersection, and hosting painting, music and performance parties where everyone is a creator.

From years hosting the weekly Open Performance night at the Underground Lounge, to my years at our former gallery in Williamsburg, The Glasslands, to my current adventures as Director of Education at Materials for the Arts I am always looking to showcase the power of collaboration in art.

I have enacted my participatory sculptures at a wide variety of art spaces including Storm King Art Center, Socrates Sculpture Park, Nassau County Museum of Art, PS1 MoMA, Queens Museum, NY Parks Department, Governors Island, The Queens Council on the Arts, The Brooklyn Arts Council, Vermont Arts Council, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, The Kitchen, The Glasslands Gallery, and MFTA Gallery.

I have curated many art exhibits including recently “Recycle 2019” at BWAC and “Contemporary Reuse” at MFTA Gallery featuring artwork from the artists of CERN in Switzerland.

I give frequent lectures on art including recently at SVA, Adelphi University, CERN, NYC Art Teachers Association, COPE, Grow NYC, and The Metropolitan Museum.

I was named the 2018 NYC Arts Administrator of the year by the NYC DOE UFT.

For the past two decades I have performed improvisational music with my band The Freestyle Family Orchestra.
